'Workin' 9 to 5, What a way to make a livin', Barely gettin' by' is what was playing in my mind and on my iPod as we took the photos for this post. I feel like instead of titling 'cowgirl style' I should have renamed this post 'Dolly Parton Esq.
When I enter a clothing store I always end up purchasing a shirt that has a check print I seem to have more check shirts in my lifetime than anything else. I even find myself finding a gentleman more attractive wearing a check shirt. My Dad believes that he is the cause for this obsession because like me, most of his shirts have a check print.
I have paired this blouse from Zara with a floaty denim skirt from ASOS. This skirt is actually my Sister who deserves a mention for my hair and make up on this shoot. I asked to borrow this shirt because both of us love the style of the skirt with its tightly fitted middle. We were also tempted by the skirt because we saw Tanya Burr wearing it in, in one of her vlog's back in the Summer. Skirts like this are great as staple pieces in your wardrobe because they can be worn in all seasons just adapted to suit the temperature of the weather.
The boots like every other pair of shoes that I have featured on this blog are from Next and like my brogues I have had these boots since the start of my degree in 2014. I brought these because for months I had spent looking for a pair of heeled boots. A pair of boots are yes purely for the Autumn and Winter seasons but are such a key piece of your wardrobe during those months due to the durability. I absolutely love wearing these boots with my pinafores as well as a pair of skinny jeans and I believe the look can be adapted for a formal or informal occasion with just the boots having a heel. I also find the style to fit the Dolly Parton vibe quite well too.
