Revlon have been a company I have always enjoyed using and I feel that
you can see that across my beauty related blog posts; therefore, when they were
hosting a competition on Instagram for a chance to win £50 worth of products I couldn’t
resist. I was fortunate enough to win and wanted to share with you the products
I received as my prize.
The concept of the competition was simple, take a selfie using a Revlon
product and hashtag the following #faceoff to be entered and counted. I entered
the selfie below and if you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I am not
shy when it comes to sharing a selfie. Now in this particular photo I featured their
matte liquid lipstick in the shade ‘love’ which is a lovely bright red, a
perfect red for summer. The shade has a great lasting quality and dried matte.
A finish I find to be every so flattering and works well with most eye make-up
looks. I also used Revlon’s photo ready primer which I have featured in a blog
post previously for being a brilliant primer for all occasions. The primer is
just brilliant for preparing the skin for a day of make up wearing. I used the
hashtag and soon found myself being featured on Revlon’s Instagram page where I
had received 1745 likes from Revlon’s followers which was such a nice ego
boost. I was most touched that I was even featured on their Instagram. Then a
month or two had passed and I received an direct message to inform me that I
was one of their 10 winners of the competition and some products would be sent
to me! How exciting. I wanted to feature them here just to show you what I
received. I will feature them along the way in selfies over on my other social
media links which you can find below. Whilst you’re stalking you are more than
welcome to give me a follow!
Revlon Colour stay Quad in ‘Precocious’- This quad is a lovely eye
shadow quad perfect for creating that Smokey ey for evening but also day time
with the lighter shade of purple within the quad. I have once tried Revlon’s
eyeshadows and have always been impressed with their durability; lasting a long
time on the lid with or without primers.
Revlon Photo Ready Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick- This product I have
seen advertised on the television and am most looking forward to giving it a
test run over the weekend. I have recently gotten into the highlighting trend
and am most looking forward to trying this beauty out.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour in ‘Passion’: I would have been
slightly disappointed had Revlon not sent me one of their matte lip colours
because I absolutely adore them and rave on to all my friends and family about
them. I think they are brilliant as when they dry matte they don’t dry cakey on
the lips which I find other drugstore equals do and find this to be extremely
irritating. This colour I received is more of a berry toned matte colour and
will be perfect for the Autumnal season.
Revlon Ultimate All in One Mascara- I have to confess to something whilst
we’re alone here. I have never owned or tried Revlon’s mascaras not out of not
wanting to but purely because I am sucker for sticking to what I know. Once I
know a brand works well on my lashes I stick toE it and don’t ever reach to
other mascaras. However, for a long time I have been intrigued by the mascaras
that Revlon released. I look forward to using and hopefully featuring this in
either this months or next month’s favourites.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in ‘Gentleman prefer pink’- Revlon’s lip
products as I have mentioned time and time again on this blog are flawless. The
products are impressive for the price tag- you get a real lasting shine and
your lips always give off a lovely impression. I feel their colours are so
wearable and have great pigmentation for all occasions whether day or night.
This lipstick shade is pinky nude and I would opt for this to be a daytime nude
because I am not one for wearing nudes when I go out in the evenings. I think
berry, red or pink toned lipsticks are ideal for the evenings. This lipstick however I can see becoming a
firm staple in my works make up look!
I am very much looking forward to trying these products in the next few
weeks and am hoping to feature them in a favourites or even very in right now beauty
post.
Thank you to Revlon for selecting my selfie and confirming that my
selfie game is strong!
